Event Webinars for Mackay, Whitusundays + Central Highlands

Mackay Tourism, proudly supported by Mackay Regional Council and Local Buying Foundation have released a comprehensive webinar series for Tourism & Event operators in the Mackay Region and also open to support operators of Tourism Whitsundays and Central Highlands. The webinar series follows on on from the Event Bootcamp held in Mackay during February 2020 to increase industry capacity. Topics include dealing with event sustainability, cancelled or postponed events, grant writing, sponsorship, event marketing during and post COVID-19, business planning and taking your event into the future.

Tara Festival of Culture & Camel Races

Client: Western Downs Regional Council The Challenge Tara, located 3.5 hours west of Brisbane, has a population of just 820. Since 2001 the town has staged the Tara Festival of Culture and Camel Races biennially.The event is organised by a volunteer, community group, The Tara Futures Group, who needed support with marketing the event. The Client Richmond Shire Council, Outback Queensland Their Challenge Richmond is strategically located mid-way between Townsville and Mount Isa. Its world renowned marine fossil museum, Kronosaurus Korner, attracts thousands of visitors annually, but only a small percentage of visitors stay overnight. Welcome to my new website!

Welcome and thank you for visiting my new website. I have such a love and curiosity for the tourism and events industries and I hope to share my insights and projects with you through this website. There is still a bit of tweaking to be done, but have a wander through and I would love to know what you think.
