Hi, my name is Krista. I have a love of country, a passion for regional Australia and a weakness for travel having worked in the tourism industry for some 25 years. My career included senior roles in regional tourism organisations, local and state government and private enterprise. I established Krista Hauritz Tourism + Marketing + Events in 2011.

Tourism is my career and hobby.

I have had the privilege of developing and marketing a number of projects that have been the recipients of North Queensland and Queensland Tourism Awards. These include the Australian-Italian Festival, Hinchinbrook Visitor Centre and Destination Promotion for Toowoomba and the Darling Downs.

I have also collaborated on cross regional projects which have been seeded through grant funding including the Great Green Way – Cairns to Townsville, The Great Bunya Drive, Fish Inland Queensland, Reef to Outback and most recently, Drive Inland Queensland and Hand Made In Country.

Featured in the Who’s Who of Queensland and Who’s Who of Australian Business Women publications, I have been a board member for Northern Rivers Tourism (NRT) and Cobb + Co Museum (Toowoomba) and am currently a member of the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC), Australian Regional Tourism Network (ARTN) and Queensland’s Rural and Remote Woman’s Network (QRRRWN).
